The Believe Begin Become programme awards winning participants with financial support in the form of seed capital as well as practical assistance in the form of business development services. These awards are sponsored by Standard Bank.
Semi-Finalists (Top 80 Entrepreneurs)
- Participation in an intensive business training course aimed at providing:
- In-depth understanding the full growth potential of your business
- Knowledge of key business plan components, how to structure the business plan, where to source information
- Exposure to respected entrepreneurs, business professionals and fellow entrepreneurs who have applied to the competition
Finalists (Top 40 Entrepreneurs)
- Assistance refining business plan
- Final business plan and presentation to use in pursuit of investment capital
- Presentation skills and experience
- Publicity and prestige
Winners (Top 20 Entrepreneurs)
Top 20 will receive:
- Network of service providers including financing institutions
- Business Development Services worth R35,000
- Top 10 to receive R75,000 each seed capital
- Ongoing business advisory services for one year
Aftercare awards can be redeemed with a pool of pre-approved business development service providers for up to one year after the competition has been completed.
