MBABANE - Last year’s Believe Begin Become business plan competition’s top 60 finalists will meet tomorrow to finalise a strategic plan for their club, known as BBB Alumni.

This was disclosed by the Alumni’s secretary Sipho Kunene who said the alumni club is a vehicle through which the members will advocate for an enabling environment for SME development in Swaziland.

It will also provide a strong business network where members will be able to share skills and knowledge amongst themselves. He explained that the Executive Committee has come up with a draft strategic plan as mandated by the members of the club.

“As the first executive committee in office, our task was to come up with a roadmap for the club. We have outlined the sort of activities we would like the club to engage in. We now have to present that to the rest of the members to approve,” he said.

Kunene explained that the BBB Alumni is intended to be a powerful force for the development of its members.

He said; “We are all driven by the goal to see our businesses succeed. It is through the BBB Alumni that we will collectively address our common business needs and the challenges that we come across as we try to get our businesses going.”

Kunene added that all participants who will go through the programme run by TechnoServe each year will be encouraged to join the alumni.

He invited members to attend the meeting tomorrow which will be held at Office No.1, Gables Complex, Ezulwini from 9am.

“We would like to request our members to come in their numbers and keep time. This is a very important meeting whereby we will fine tune our strategic plan and elect sub-committee members. We expect to start operations soon,” he said.
