The Minister of Enterprise and Employment, Lutfo Dlamini, has come out to declare that he has a business plan for wheat production that needs entrepreneurs to take it forward.

Speaking during the Believe Begin Become Business Plan Competition prize-giving ceremony held at House on Fire on Friday, Dlamini said his business plan had a huge market and was a much needed commodity.

“The business plan is about the production of 5000 tonnes of wheat per month, I am looking for an entrepreneur who can venture into this business,” he said, much the laughter and applause of the audience.

He noted that the wheat production had lucrative returns, adding that any bank would definitely finance it because it had a readily available market in the form of Ngwane Mills.

African Alliance’s Deputy Managing Director Nelisiwe Mabuza who was the compere at the event said the minister had given aspiring entrepreneurs an idea that should be implemented.

“Why isn’t the country not involved in wheat production?” asked Mabuza.
