MALKERNS – Mduduzi Dludlu was on Friday night crowned the winner of this year’s Believe Begin Become Business Plan Competition, an entrepreneurship programme hosted by Technoserve.
Dludlu beat other 20 hopefuls through putting together a comprehensive and viable business plan that impressed a panel of 12 judges.
He is into agribusiness of rearing goats to manufacture cheese, yoghurt and other products from the goat milk.
He takes home the grand seed capital of E150 000 and E30 000 for being in the top 21.
Dludlu, when accepting his seed capital cheque from United States of America (USA) Ambassador to Swaziland Maurice Parker, said this was the best investment he has ever made in his life as he only paid E60 to join the competition but now had E180 000 to start his business.
Dludlu, who is 28-years-old, will be trading under the DM Foods brand name and hopes to be in business in the next three months.
“I would like to thank Technoserve and everyone who made this competition possible,” he said.
The event was held at House on Fire on Friday.
