The inaugural winner of the Believe Begin Become (BBB) national business plan competition, Phila Msibi has attributed the award to the massive response his business is enjoying and support from the timber contractors.

 

Msibi’s business, SG Power Products and Services deals in selling chain saws, brush cutters, lawn mowers and offering after sales support to its customers.

 

“We have already secured 60 percent share of the Shiselweni market. We also have plans to expand the business to other parts of Swaziland,” said Msibi.

 

He added that he was grateful to TechnoServe for helping him develop his business skills through the business plan competition.

 

SG already has a full-time staff of four people in its payroll and will soon be hiring more on a temporary basis to help in a bush clearing project they will be working on.

 

Msibi has over 10 years business experience, having worked on a treated pole processing business earlier.

 

He also added that the business will be gradually expanded over the years and will create more jobs for the unemployed.

 

Msibi is the inaugural winner of the Believe Begin Become national business plan competition and he won E150 000.

 

This year’s top 20 participants in the competition have already been announced. They are already working on the last stage of the competition.
